Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine has its origins in ancient cultures and it is still used around the world as primary healthcare. It uses whole plant preparations so that the overall effect on the body is gentle and balanced. The plants are used to treat illness and generally enhance health and well-being.

Herbs have the ability to improve the function of an organ, such as improving blood sugar regulation or elicit a physiological response in the body such as sweating or urination.

Herbs are combined within a herbal formula to address different aspects of a person’s condition. Herbalists select herbs after they’ve taken a full case history from the client, enabling them to uncover what imbalances may be occurring.
