A profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders affecting the musculoskeletal system, particularly involving the spine and its effects on your nervous system. Our approach is to remove nervous system disturbance, usually along the spine, although we may also be interested in other areas of the body such as your feet, hips or shoulders.
Our aim is to restore your ability to self-heal, improve functionality or maintain your ideal health. We recognise the value and responsibility of working in cooperation with other health care practitioners when in the best interest of the patient. There are obviously limitations to any practice and there are times when pharmaceuticals or surgery may be appropriate.
Chiropractic is regulated by the General Chiropractic Council.
McTimoney Method Technique
The McTimoney approach to chiropractic was developed by the late John McTimoney over 50 years ago. It is well known for being a whole-body approach to chiropractic care using light, quick and specific adjustments. Most people experience little or no discomfort when receiving a McTimoney Method treatment.
