My treatments are massage focused but with the ability to supplement with acupuncture, body exercises, mindfulness practices, nutritional & life style advice, and herbal medicine where appropriate.

I’m a graduate of the five-year full-time Traditional Chinese Medicine degree ran jointly by Middlesex University and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. I began my studies of Chinese medicine in 2002 graduating to a fully insured member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2007. The final clinical phase of the course involved extensive work placements in Beijing, London and NHS pain clinics; during this time I also trained in Chinese medical massage completing a four month diploma.

After graduating I continue to deepen my clinical knowledge with several highly skilled practitioners, most significantly through multi-year advanced seminar series with Andrew Nugent-Head and  Lillian Pearl Bridges, in addition to my ongoing training with Bruce Frantzis and his long term students Gio Maschio, and  Bill Ryan since 2005. I have also taken some additional specialist courses on Chinese massage for traumatic injuries.

What drew me to the study of Chinese Medicine was a love of Taichi, Qigong and meditation, which I have practiced for over 20 years with several well-known teachers in the field including two multi-year apprenticeships. I’ve run my own classes and workshops in Oxford since 2014 in addition to coordinating and teaching the Qigong module for acupuncture students at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine from 2009-2026.

Beyond that I enjoy studying the ancient texts of China in classical Chinese script, training in wisdom traditions from all over the world, riding my bike, cooking, cognac, Oolong tea, and going on multi-day backpacking trips in mountains!
