Semi-Permanent Make-up

Semi-Permanent make up, also known as micropigmentation, is a method of inserting small amounts of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin in order to enhance your natural features.

THE TREATMENT
For eyebrows - after a topical anesthetic is applied and consultation completed an eyebrow shape to your liking is drawn on. Using a specialist cosmetic & medical tattooing machine, pigment is gently applied to the skin using very fine needles in the form of a fully retractable, disposable cartridge. The treatment may feel ticklish or scratchy, like someone is running a toothbrush along your skin. The process is normally complete within two hours, but may vary from person to person depending on your individual requirements. Immediately after your treatment the area will look darker but his will start to fade and soften after 3-4 days.  The true healed colour will show in 4 weeks.  You will be given aftercare instructions, which you must adhere to in order to obtain the best results - like a regular tattoo, this involves keeping the area dry and not picking at it!

THE TOP-UP
A second appointment is needed 4-12 weeks after your first treatment.  As the area heals, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few areas that need more colour or your skin may not hold the colour well after the first session. This is completely normal as everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, you are encouraged to come back for your top-up.
